Larry Wolf’s unique approach to body work is designed to meet your individual needs. Larry integrates Eastern and Western practices to facilitate your process of healing.

He approaches his work with the belief in the interconnectedness of body, mind and spirit. A professional pianist for 30 years, he listens with his ears, heart and hands. Larry provides a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for his clients.

Larry’s experience as a therapist draws on the following: 26 years of spiritual practice, including Zen meditation, Tai Chi and karate, men’s groups, mentoring groups and healer’s training. He is currently exploring the practice of Equine Massage as an expression of his love of horses.

Larry Wolf is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist, Ohashi trained Shiatsu Practitioner and National Board Certified Body Worker. He is an instructor of Shiatsu at the Academy of Massage Therapy, Englewood, New Jersey.

Shiatsu

Originating from Japan, Shiatsu restores health and vitality by stimulating the body’s energy (Chi) along pathways called meridians. Shiatsu helps release stagnated energy and activates the body’s natural capacity to heal itself. People with low back pain, neck and shoulder stiffness, poor circulation, sinus congestion and other stress related conditions respond well to shiatsu.

Acupressure

Acupressure is a gentle way of releasing tension and stress. The practitioner accesses acu-points  located along energetic pathways known as extraordinary vessels and meridians. The client experiences physical and emotional release as well as balance of mind and body.

Thai Yoga Massage

Sometimes referred to as assisted Hatha Yoga, Thai Massage restores energy, improves circulation, stretches and tonifies muscles. The therapist uses his feet, palms, elbows, and thumbs along energy (sen) lines to boost the client’s immune system and induce a calm state of mind.

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is the most popular and well known of Western body work. It promotes muscle relaxation, improved circulation, improved lymphatic and venous flow, increased joint mobility and stress relief. The body becomes deeply relaxed.

LaStone Therapy

The original hot and cold stone massage!  Experience massage using one of nature’s basic tools to heal mind, body and spirit. The warmth and the coolness of the stones increase the body’s vitality.

Collard Method

This unique form of body/mind work was developed by renowned intuitive and body worker, Patrick Collard.  It identifies mind-body interactions through movement analysis and verbal dialogue. Identifying negative thoughts and their effects on the body, and releasing them, enables the client to live a more joyful and  fulfilling life.
